With many travelers gearing up for Spring Break and Easter travel, three US-based major airlines have announced a spring savings airfare sale. American Airlines, Delta, and United will have temporary fare reductions on selected major US routes.
The sale has started on all three websites and feature fare savings through April 6th. United is the only spring savings fare carrier with blackouts on reduced fares on May 21, 22, and 25 of this year. Low fare one- way tickets on Delta start at $73 and require a 14-days advance purchase with a Saturday night stay.
American Airlines has several conditions to travel using these reduced fares. According to their website, certain routes have special valid travel days. Their website says sale prices are valid for travel to Florida, Las Vegas, and Reno Sunday through Wednesday. Sale prices are valid for travel from Florida, Las Vegas and Reno Tuesday through Friday. Sale prices are valid for travel to all other destinations Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Monday through Thursday and Saturday; other days are subject to higher prices. The following days are not available for travel and sale prices are not valid on March 15, March 22, April 12, April 19, May 14-15, May 17, May 21-22, May 25, 2015.
Standard limitations are applicable on all three airlines. Fares include taxes and fees; additional baggage charges may apply, but some fees are considered optional services. Fare availability is controlled by capacity and fares are not available on all days. Fares are non-refundable and advance purchase is required for all reduced rates unless noted otherwise.
