India’s leading mobile service providers Aircel introduced free Internet scheme for all new subscribers on October 8. The strategic head of Aircel (south) Sankara Narayanan said, “The product has been specially designed keeping in view the dramatic increase of mobile data users, for whom data usage is as much a part of their daily lives as voice calling”.
Using this new product, Aircel subscribers will be able to browse and actively use with their favorite applications such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, besides accessing their daily need applications like banks and travel, paying of utility bills, he said.
This scheme is available at Rs. 144, with 64Kbps for 90 days free data after activation. The Aircel is also working on a postpaid package, since the Internet was almost free for postpaid users on their bill plan, announced by strategic head of Aircel.
Aircel is aiming to connect with those 70 percent of customers who were using Internet less than 10 days, accounting for roughly 66MB per month. According to the sources the company is also planning to introduce 4G service before the end of this year.
