Nissan is now going to built Qashqai and the X-Trail SUV at its Sunderland manufacturing plant.
Nissan’ CEO, Carlos Ghosn, said that government’s consistent support has helped the company to decide to produce the two new cars in Sunderland. This new step will assure 7000 jobs.
CEO further said that he appreciate the commitment of PM Theresa May toward the automotive industry of the Britain. Even Theresa may has applauded the news saying this is new happening will showcase Britain’s openness for business. Nissan has decided to upgrade its factory into a super plant which will manufacture more than 600000 cars per year.
Sunderland got opened in 1986 and so far has produced around 9 million cars since then. The manufacturing of the Qashqai is anticipated to start in either 2018 or in the year of 2019.
