Acer, the leading tech giant, rolled out its latest Chromebook 11 N7 which aims for educational purpose. The company launched its device ahead of the Consumer Electronic Showcase 2017 which will be conducted in Las Vegas. The firm confirms and is confident enough that the new Chromebook has various durability features to ensure maximum uptime. This will help in reducing the cost of IT maintenance.
The gadget features a rubber bumper keyboard and a corner shield structure that can withstand a drop from a height up to 48 inches. The anti-slip pattern on the rear panel prevents the gadget from slipping and makes it easy to hold. In assistance with these features, the device also has a spill-resistant keyboard. This feature protects the device from water spillage of up to 330ML. The only one of its kind gutter system under the touchpad and keyboard drains the water and routes it away from internal components.
Though having a fan-less design, the device offers quite and cool operation. The need for ventilation is never felt, and airflow and dust accumulation problems never occur.
The device has an 11.6-inch screen with a pixel resolution of 1366×768. The device is fueled by dual-core Intel Celeron processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 16G or 32GB of internal memory. The gadget runs on Chrome OS. It offers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HDMI port, and USB 3.0 ports on the connectivity end.
