Cookies are nothing but small text files that contain information about you. These text files are created by different websites that you visit. Sometimes, personal information may also be stored in cookies. Hence, better avoid compromising your privacy and clear the cookies frequently. Chrome on Desktop

  1. Open Chrome and tap the hamburger icon present on the upper right corner.
  2. Search and click in Tools option.
  3. Once you enter the Tools list, choose Clear Browsing Data option from the list.
  4. You will be taken to a new page where multiple options are selected. Do not touch them. Select the time frame for which you want to delete the data. If you select The Beginning Of Time option, it will delete all cookies.
  5. Make sure you the Cookies And Other Site And Plug-In Data option is ticked on.
  6. Once you are done with this, tap the Clear Browsing Data option present at the bottom of the page.

Chrome on Mobile

  1. Open Chrome and tap the hamburger icon present on the upper right corner.
  2. Once you click the icon, a drop down list will appear. Click the Settings option from that list.
  3. Once you tap the Settings, choose the Privacy option further.
  4. A prompt message will appear with multiple options selected. Make sure the Clear Cookies, Site Data option is selected.
  5. Once you select the desired options, click on Clear. This will automatically delete all the cookies that were present.

Nowadays, deleting cookies is an essential thing that needs to be done. The number of incidences about online thefts and frauds are increasing day by day. Hence, as a precaution, you must perform this task whenever you are shutting down your machine.
