Car maker Fisker rejoins electric car race


Tesla’s former rival in pioneering electric cars, Henrik Fisker, has made a come-back in the electric car market announcing two new models. Car manufacturers worldwide are showing growing interest in electric car market.

The previous company founded by Fisker named, Fisker Automotive used to build luxury cars and were popular with celebrities until hit by 2013 bankruptcy.

Now in this new venture, Fisker has announced both a high-end car as well as an affordable mass-market model. It promises long lasting battery life and range than any battery presently available in the market.

Before founding his own car company he used to work for car firms including Aston Martin and BMW. The Fisker Karma model, released in 2012 for $100,000 was bought by many celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber.

Many car makers like BMW, Nissan are making their way into this market.
